I love the torque. Makes ICE vehicles feel so
damned laggy...
... like you have to push on the gas, which pulls on a rod, then wait for a little flap to move somewhere inside a carburetor, adjust some fuel mix, which eventually gets sucked through some manifolds, into some cylinders, which can now squeeze, bang, blow, wheeze a few more times per second, advancing some timing mechanism, dragging some big heavy flywheel, working its way through some oil-pumping auto transmission, pulling a series of cogs and eventually, several seconds later, getting to the rubber on the road and
fiiiiinallllly going where you told it... Oh, after probably a few gear changes with associated torque drop-outs...
... vs EVs, where you floor it and
OH EM GO, like a bat out of hell, from zero to <cough> the speed limit (and definitely not 1% more, honest officer) </cough> before you dare to blink
Yup. Those petrolheads who think EVs are like "appliances", no fun... have clearly never driven a real EV... or had any real fun!
